The government, semi-government and leading business enterprises of Bangladesh are using B. J. Geotextiles’ nonwoven geotextile fabric or geo sheet products for River Bank protection, River training, coastal protection, separation and reinforcement.

Because of our wide range of products, we are using European latest developed nonwoven needle punch technology for manufacturing.

However, non-woven needle punch is a combination of needling and thermal bonding process of fibres. The fibre used in production are extremely durable and exhibit excellent chemical resistance to acids and alkalis at ambient temperatures. Because of their exceptionally low moisture absorption, the action of water at ambient temperature has no effect on their mechanical properties. Also resistant to microorganisms & insects and will not support the growth of mildew or fungi.

Scientists developed at least 80 specific applications areas for geotextiles. However, the fabric always performs at least one of six discrete functions:

Erosion control – through the use of geosynthetic material to prevent the loss of soil particles from water erosion
Separation – to prevent the intermix of dissimilar soil layers
Filtration – allow the passage of fluids (mot commonly water) while preventing the uncontrolled passage of soil particles
Reinforcement – tensile properties of a geosynthetic material to resist stresses or contain deformation in soil structures
Drainage – a geosynthetic layer to collect and transport fluids within its own thickness
Protection – geosynthetic material as a stress reduction layer to prevent or reduce damage to an adjacent surface or layer
